With the partnership between Impact Wrestling and AEW beginning to take shape, people have already started thinking about the dream matches that can now occur. Among the people thinking about it are the Young Bucks.
During a recent interview with Jon Alba, Matt Jackson discussed their list of dream opponents with Impact. Among them were The North and the Motor City Machine Guns. Here is the quote, courtesy of Wrestling Inc.:
“People are already hitting me up and they’re just like, ‘Oh my God! Can you imagine The Young Bucks vs. The Motor City Machine Guns?!’ How can you not jump ahead and kind of have a fantasy booking? The teams that they have– The North is fantastic. I remember we wrestled them on the indies five or six years ago. We tore the house down.
I think about wrestling them, of course. Obviously, there’s a match that could happen that probably never even been thought of. They got The Good Brothers there, and they’re the champs. You want to fantasy book but you also don’t want to get too ahead of yourself. The fan in me, I think of those places and I’m like, ‘God, we can do some really good stuff.’ Are we going to do that stuff? I’m not sure yet. We’re still at the beginning of this, but there are some big surprises and I’m really excited about it.”
The Young Bucks have, of course, wrestled many of these teams before. However, circumstances are different now and they have a chance to have these matches on a much larger stage.
