WWE Raw – March 25, 2019 (Review)

How would you rate the show overall? (From best to worst: RawSome, Cor, AvRAWge, Poor and RawFul)

AvRAWge. Bliss segment aside, there was nothing particularly stupid or unwatchable in this week’s episode, but it also suffered from a severe lack of anything to really get the audience excited. This does not bode well two weeks out from WrestleMania.

Raw has this infuriating tendency of forcing me to sit through two hours of stuff I don’t care about to get to the one hour of things I do.

This week it was the absolutely meaningless Beat the Clock Challenge, Finn pinning Jinder to get another shot at the Intercontinental Title, the Tag Team mess (in both divisions) and Colin Jost.

Eventually though, things did turn around. Kurt Angle faced Samoa Joe in a match dripping with sentimentality, Triple H announced that he’d be putting his career on the line against Batista and we got to the Last Man Standing Match between Dean Ambrose and Drew McIntyre, which was exactly the car crash you’d expect. But it honestly just felt like it took an incredible feat of human endurance to get there. This Everest of a Monday Night Raw was – although better than recent weeks – a low AvRAWge.
