NXT recently announced the introduction of a new Women’s North American Championship, with the new champion set to be crowned in the coming weeks.
With NXT introducing a midcard championship for the women, many have been asking for the main roster to introduce one too, and it’s not just fans that are hoping for it.
Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker noted that WWE’s women’s division is ‘deep’, and said he would like to see a Women’s Intercontinental Championship introduced.
He said:
“The division [is] deep. I would like to see a Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and possibly, because there are two brands, a Women’s US Champion.”
A new Women’s World Champion was crowned on this week’s Raw, when Becky Lynch won a Battle Royal to win the title after it was vacated by Rhea Ripley following injury.
