The subject of Matt Riddle’s current status has been dominating the wrestling landscape this past week when cancelation of indie dates raised speculation that he had signed a contract with WWE. Now, it appears his NXT arrival has been confirmed by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Having pulled out of numerous events over the next few months, including PWG Battle of Los Angeles, and taken down his online merchandise store – the same steps Matt Hardy took before he returned at WrestleMania 33 – Riddle has aroused suspicion with one fan tweeting the reliable journalist the question of whether this means his imminent WWE arrival.
Dave couldn’t have been more forthright.

It’s very rare that Dave Meltzer is wrong about these things. When it comes to knowledge of professional wrestling he’s the go-to guy. So, it appears that in one form or another we will see Matt Riddle at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.
Come and chat with WrestleTalk today on Twitter and Discord. We would like to know your thoughts on Dave Meltzer, whether you trust what he says, where you see Matt Riddle fitting in down in NXT, and if he’s your future NXT Champion.
