Wrestle Kingdom 13 is less than a month away and New Japan Pro Wrestling has revealed the final card for their biggest event.
A number of expected matches have now been made official and the card features nine main show matches and one pre-show match. The matches for the NEVER Openweight Championship, IWGP Tag Team Championships, IWGP United States Championship, and RevPro British Heavyweight Championship have all now been confirmed for the event.
Following the events of the World Tag League, the IWGP Tag Team Championships will be defended in a three-way tag match. The Young Bucks and Evil & Sanada will challenge the Guerrillas of Destiny for the tag titles and Will Ospreay will challenge Kota Ibushi for the NEVER Openweight Championship.
Cody will make his first defence of the IWGP United States Championship since winning the title in September. Cody defeated Juice Robinson to win the title at Fighting Spirit Unleashed and has yet to defend the title due to injury. The rematch will take place at Wrestle Kingdom 13 as Cody and Juice wrestle once again.
Zack Sabre Jr. challenged Tomohiro Ishii to a match for the RevPro British Heavyweight Championship last month and New Japan has now made the match official. Sabre will look to win back the title he lost to Ishii in April when he faces Ishii on Japan’s grandest stage.
The final card for Wrestle Kingdom 13 is as follows:
- IWGP Heavyweight Championship – Kenny Omega vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi
- IWGP Intercontinental Championship – Chris Jericho vs. Tetsuya Naito
- Kazuchika Okada vs. Jay White
- IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship – KUSHIDA vs. Taiji Ishimori
