Last night’s episode of Raw opened with an oddly real segment in our funny little world of professional wrestling. Current WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins cut a strong promo on Raw General Manager Elect Baron Corbin where he categorically stated that the red brand “sucks.”
Seth blamed Corbin which is interesting as every word has been given the go-ahead by Vince McMahon so Baron has effectively become the scapegoat for Raw‘s declining quality and viewership. Has Vince purposefully made a bad product for a storyline? Surely he’s not that mad.
Either way, one of the many notable areas that Rollins brought up during his outburst was that a great tag team like the Revival are repeated being put in Lucha House Rules matches against LHP instead of Raw Tag Team Championship matches.
In case you haven’t been watching Raw recently due to its aforementioned downward spiral, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder (the two-man heel tag team) have been continuously put in handicap matches against Lucha House Party (the three-man babyface tag team) in multiple losing efforts…
Being the ‘Top Guys’ that they are, both members of the Revival responded to the promo on Twitter in support of the comments:

So to conclude, the villainous tag team of the Revival is not only fighting an uphill battle against multiple opponents almost every week, but they are also now in support of the red brand’s biggest babyface in Seth Rollins. How did we get here, WWE?
As Dawson and Wilder have expressed their desire to face the Young Bucks recently – which garnered a mutual response from Matt and Nick Jackson – perhaps a push for the Revival is on the horizon with WWE hoping to keep one of the most talented teams on their roster instead of beating them down so much that they leave for pastures new.
Either that or this is just another “duly noted” throwaway line.
Do you want to see the Revival pushed as the champions they are? Or do you want to see them leave the company and finally face off against the Young Bucks? Let us know in the comments.
