Update On WrestleMania 35 Main Event

Ever since Becky Lynch has her face broken by Nia Jax and was forced to pull out of her match against Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series, it has been reported that Lynch vs Rousey was the plan for WrestleMania 35’s main event.

However, as you will remember, Charlotte replaced Becky in the Survivor Series match, and as she got herself disqualified with a brutal attack, Ronda is actually feuding with both women.

On last night’s Raw, we were surprised to learn that it will be Ronda Rousey vs Sasha Banks at the Royal Rumble, which went against initial reports that Ronda would be facing Charlotte Flair as a blow off to their match last year.

This therefore has led many to believe that they are saving Ronda and Charlotte’s confrontation for WrestleMania, which would mean the main event would be a triple threat match between Rousey, Flair and Becky Lynch.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez explained that they believed the Sasha match was planned as WWE is still trying to decide whether a triple threat or a singles match between Becky and Ronda would be the best plan.

Ronda is apparently a very big fan of Sasha Banks, and has wanted to work with her for some time, which is why WWE took the decision to have them face each other.
