On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live, current Tag Team Champions, The Bar, faced The Usos, with the stipulation that if The Usos won, they would receive a Tag Team Title opportunity at the Royal Rumble. Because beating a team once isn’t good enough I guess.
However, after some distraction from Mandy Rose, The Usos were unsuccessful. But fear not, The Miz came to the ring afterwards and challenged The Bar for their titles on behalf of himself and Shane McMahon. After a quick Brogue Kick from Sheamus, the champions accepted the challenge.
So now it’s confirmed. The Bar will be taking on The Miz and Shane McMahon for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at Royal Rumble.
Remember in the old era when Shane McMahon won a tournament to crown the best in the world? Remember how terrible that was? Boy am I glad they’re not doing anything that stupid in the new era. So glad. Yep. Super happy.
