Dave Meltzer is reporting on Wrestling Observer Radio that Brian James aka “Road Dogg” has stepped down as co-head writer of SmackDown Live.
Meltzer admitted he didn’t currently have further information, but also said he would update the situation in the morning (today).
James has been part of the SmackDown writing team since December 2016, and was quickly promoted through the ranks to become a head writer from the blue brand.
The report comes just a few days after Road Dogg and his DX stablemates were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
We will update the situation as soon as we have more information.
