Jason Jordan was one of WWE’s brightest stars at the beginning on 2018, and as the real-life biological son of Kurt Angle, it was thought that big things were planned for the former American Alpha member.
However, things don’t always go to plan and in January 2018, he underwent shoulder surgery and has not been seen since. It was reported that there were issues following surgery and rumours began circulating that he may be forced into a very early retirement.
He has been working backstage as a producer for WWE, but there has been no suggestion that he is heading towards a return to in-ring action.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer looks to have confirmed the worst, that Jordan is almost certainly done with wrestling.
“Jason Jordan, who also gets asked about, is less likely to return. You never say never, but in his case, it wasn’t looking good and there has been in the past the feeling that his career could be over.”
It’s a very sad situation for Jordan and for his fans, but hopefully he’ll be able to create a career for himself in wrestling nonetheless.
On a lighter note, it was also reported that former WWE Champion Sheamus has been cleared to return after it was feared his career might be over, and he should be returning to our screens in the near future.
