It appears a WWE star is undergoing a gimmick change after being kicked out of a group and switching brands in the WWE Draft.
Last week on Raw, Ludwig Kaiser finally turned on Giovanni Vinci, attacking him and getting rid of him from Imperium.
A week later. Kaiser and GUNTHER of Imperium were drafted to Raw, while Vinci was drafted on his own to SmackDown.
Obviously this is a new beginning for Vinci, and it looks like he’s undergoing a character change to boot.
However, to viewers of NXT 2.0, it’s not a completely new one.
GUNTHER and Kaiser were originally called up from NXT to the main roster in 2022 without Vinci, leaving him as a singles talent in NXT.
In the few months before he was called up to join them at WWE Clash at the Castle, Vinci adopted a ‘rich, self-indulged snob/model’ type gimmick and used the catchphrase ‘Veni, Vidi, Vinci’.
After the news of him being drafted to SmackDown emerged, Vinci set out a tweet simply of the graphic of him being drafted to SmackDown, along with the caption:
⏳ #Smackdown #VeniVidiVinci
With that hashtag making a comeback, we may well see the NXT 2.0 Vinci character back on our screens as well.
Let’s do this @VinciWWE.
