No prizes for guessing who’s going to win this feud if it happens. The latest adverts for an upcoming WWE house show in Mexico City suggest that Bray Wyatt’s next Universal Championship feud could be with The Miz.
It seems that WWE is trying to distance Wyatt from former champion Seth Rollins, with whom he had a series of matches which fans despised, largely due to the abysmal booking WWE gave the feud.
It was reported earlier today that Cain Velasquez had been pulled from a WWE live event in Mexico City at the end of the month, most likely due to requiring surgery on his knee. Velasquez’s match with Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel was cut short due to his knee injury being more serious than first thought.
However, the card for the show still includes a steel cage match between Bray Wyatt and the Miz for the Universal Championship.
Now this could easily be just a one off match, but for a house show as big as this, you would expect WWE to feature feuds from TV.
WWE often uses live events to test out potential feuds and to gauge fan reaction, so this could be the case here.
While very much a mid-carder at this stage of his career, The Miz could easily step into a brief feud with Wyatt just to give Wyatt an easy win to establish himself as champion.
