It was reported earlier in the week that following his invasion of NXT with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, AJ Styles pitched the idea of Undisputed Era vs. The O.C. at Survivor Series.
The idea was rejected by WWE higher-ups, but the opportunity for the two factions to go head-to-head later on down the line was not ruled out.
AJ Styles will still be in action at the upcoming pay-per-view, and Dave Meltzer is reporting in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Styles will be part of an exciting triple threat match.
“Styles is currently booked in the three secondary title match on the show.”
If this report is to be believed, then I am very excited. The prospect of Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. North American Champion Roderick Strong vs. United States Champion AJ Styles is absolutely mouth-watering.
With two more Raw, NXT and Smackdown shows before Survivor Series, expect the match to be made in the not too distant future.
