Jerry “The King” Lawler last wrestled for WWE on the 09/10 episode of Raw back in 2012 when he tagged with Randy Orton to take on CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler.
Despite this, the WWE Hall of Famer and Raw commentator still wrestles to this day for various local independent promotions, despite being 70-years-old.
However, Lawler could be ending his near 50-year wrestling career in early 2020 if he loses his Arkansas Heavyweight Championship match with Matt Riviera.
Lawler is set to wrestle the aforementioned Riviera for the Arkansas Heavyweight Championship on January 18, 2020. The match will take place at CWA’s “No Surrender” event.
Now it has been revealed that if Jerry is unable to defeat Matt Riviera and capture the Arkansas Heavyweight Championship, then he will be forced to end his career.
This certainly isn’t being painted as a retirement match for Lawler. You can be seen by the promo below, he is rather convinced that he will be walking out of CWA ‘No Surrender’ with the championship match and his career intact.
