Former Raw commentator Dio Maddin seemingly wants a piece of WWE Champion Brock Lesnar judging by a recent tweet:
Matt Riddle moved on to Goldberg so I’ll retire Brock.
— Mason Madden (@GREATBLACKOTAKU) December 4, 2019
A number of weeks ago, Maddin stood up to Lesnar as he was about to attack fellow broadcast team member Jerry Lawler.
It didn’t work out for Maddin, though, as he suffered an F-5 through the announce table and hasn’t been seen since.
At first it was reported he was only away to sell the injury, but it’s now been revealed he’s stepping down from his position on the headset to pursue an in-ring career.
Samoa Joe will replace Dio Maddin until he is medically cleared to return from a broken thumb.
Lesnar does need an opponent to occupy him at the Rumble ahead of a controversial planned WrestleMania match…
