IMPACT Wrestling announced Lockdown will be returning to the company as a special on IMPACT+. IMPACT+ is the company streaming app available on all devices.
Lockdown was introduced in 2005. The show’s gimmick is that all the matches take place inside of a steel cage. Of course, the cage used to be called 6 Sides of Steel when TNA used a 6 sided ring.
The last Lockdown event took place in 2016. The main event of that show was EC3 vs. Matt Hardy. Hmm, wonder where those guys are now?
IMPACT Lockdown 2020 will be held at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. The event will be promoted with Border City Wrestling.
BREAKING: The most dangerous event of the year returns.
Lockdown is coming to @StClairCollege on Saturday, March 28th LIVE on @IMPACTPlusApp in association with with @bcwonline!
Tickets are on sale Friday at 8am! https://t.co/tCPc2WiG57 pic.twitter.com/YrAVGFSJPZ

Obviously, the show is about 2 months away. However, it will be interesting to see if Tessa Blanchard defends her title in the cage at the event.
Will IMPACT set Tessa up to continue to compete with men in intergender matches? The other question would be when will they put Tessa against another woman.
Tessa faced a lot of adversity this weekend. Some have questioned the decision to put the World Title on Blanchard amongst all the claims made against her by other members of the wrestling community. Meanwhile, others stood by her side.
Regardless of what happens outside of the ring, Blanchard is incredibly talented in the ring. WrestleTalk will have more on the event as information becomes available.
