Hollywood star and resident superhero Chris Hemsworth has been tabbed to play Hulk Hogan in a biopic for a while now. However, he recently revealed that he has yet to read a script on the project.
During an interview with ScreenRant, Hemsworth spoke about the film. Here is the full quote, courtesy of Pro Wrestling Sheet:
“Look, I haven’t read a script yet. I know it’s being written now and worked on. I know very little about that. It’s sort of in the process now and I’m just fascinated by that world. I think they’re pretty keen to show a side of the world that people haven’t seen before. I’m as intrigued as you are!”
Hemsworth spoke about being fascinated by the world of pro wrestling. One of the names attached to the film is none other than the former head of WCW, Eric Bischoff. Bischoff and ‘Joker’ director Todd Phillips revived the idea for the film years ago and now the script is being rewritten by Scott Silver. Silver also wrote ‘Joker’ and ‘The Fighter’.
Hemsworth is, of course, best known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has a new movie coming out as well, called Extraction.
