Some backstage news and details have come to light concerning the AEW Fyter Fest shows, which are set to air on TNT on July 1 and July 8.
Dave Meltzer reports on Wrestling Observer Radio that the July 1 show will be live, but the July 8 show will be taped on July 2.
He also noted that Fyter Fest will be treated as a pay-per-view in terms of match quality and length, and all TV heading into it has already been written and planned out.
Already confirmed for Fyter Fest are:
- Jon Moxley (c) vs. Brian Cage – AEW World Championship
- Adam Page & Kenny Omega (c) vs. Best Friends – AEW World Tag Team Championship
It was noted during Dynamite last night that all titles will be defended.
The next fully-fledged AEW pay-per-view event is All Out which is scheduled for September 5.
