The response from WarnerMedia and TNT to the ratings pulled by the Saturday, August 22 episode of AEW Dynamite has been revealed.
The show drew an average of 755,000 viewers, which was only a slight decrease from the previous week, and considering the date change and that it was up against NXT TakeOver, it was a very impressive number.
As reported by PWInsider, WarnerMedia was “extremely happy” with the number. The show also performed well in the important 18-34 and 18-49 demographics.
This week Dynamite will air live on Thursday, with fans in attendance at 10% of the capacity of the Daily’s Place venue.
Confirmed for Thursday’s show so far, which WrestleTalk.com will of course have live coverage for, are:
- Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara – Tables Match
- Natural Nightmares vs. Young Bucks vs. Best Friends vs. FTR – Winners challenge Omega & Page for Tag Team Title at All Out
- Big Swole vs. Britt Baker, Reba & Penelope Ford – Handicap Match
- Chris Jericho on commentary
- Jon Moxley vs. MJF contract signing for All Out World Title match
