One of the issues that some people have with AEW is that the promotion occasionally take shots at WWE and/or NXT on social media and as part of their weekly shows, and we saw another example of this last night on Dark.
On last night’s show, Taz took a shot at multi-time WWE Champion and company executive Triple H while on commentary for Dark during the match between SCU member Frankie Kazarian and Ryzin.
During the match, Taz noted that Ryzin’s first name should be Tera. This is obviously a reference to Triple H’s name during his time with WCW (Terra Ryzing) before he even joined WWE in January 1995.
However, Taz then said that the name “would be the shits” and would never get over, which is an obvious jab at Triple H:
“You know what his first name should be? Terra. Nah, that would never get over. That’d be the sh*ts,”
Speaking of Dark, it was revealed yesterday that two young wrestlers who have worked matches on the YouTube show several times over recent weeks have now signed full-time deals with AEW. You can read more about that by clicking here.
