With Survivor Series being promoted as the Final Farewell of The Undertaker, many have wondered if he has truly had his last match. To date, his final battle was with AJ Styles in the Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36.
The Boneyard match has led to fans suggesting that The Undertaker could lengthen his career through cinematic matches. However, he has revealed that this is not something he is interested in. Speaking with the New York Post, he said he doesn’t want to work around his limitations. Here is the quote:
“It really doesn’t appeal to me because basically what it is, is working around my limitations. It’s capitalizing on some of my ability and some of my creative ability to tell a story but basically it’s trying to mask some of the lack of my physical abilities at this point.
I realized I have taken every physical gift, tool that I have and have used it up. There’s no water left in the sponge, if I can use that analogy. I’ve rung everything I could get out of that sponge.”
Survivor Series will mark 30 years since he debuted back in 1990. As far as his final match goes, only time will tell.
