It has come to light that a certain All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star is facing some issues getting the trademark rights to his ring name.
As highlighted by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rey Fenix has encountered a snag trademarking his name in the US.
This is because his name is said to be too close to ‘Fenix’, which Lucha Libre FMV (Lucha Underground’s parent company) has the rights to in the country.
Penta El Zero M had been having issues trademarking his name too and ended up having to change his name a few times in AEW , so it’ll be interesting to see if Fenix does the same.
