WWE United States Champion Sheamus has provided an update on the broken nose he suffered a couple of weeks ago on Raw.
Sheamus had his nose broken by an Humberto Carillo forearm, but assured fans right away that he wouldn’t be vacating his championship.
He’s now provided another update, and speaking with Vincente Beltran, he said:
“I’m doing okay, getting better, you know, there was a lot of damage done to the outside and inside (of my nose). I cracked my septum, and there’s like fractures and breaks on the outside. It was actually more painful getting the nose put back together than it was getting it broken. Just more annoying. But yeah I’m on the mend.
“Nothing stops me. I don’t like to sit at home and I don’t like to make excuses for not being out there when I can be.”
While not cleared to wrestle, Sheamus did still appear on Raw this past Monday, doing commentary for Humberto Carrillo vs Ricochet.
The Irishman also recently said that morale in the locker room is “pretty good” despite the recent releases.
