Despite prior reports suggesting that he wouldn’t be part of the card for SummerSlam, Fightful Select is reporting that WWE has held recent talks with Brock Lesnar regarding a return.
The report notes that WWE and Brock Lesnar have been in communication regarding a return to the company, with WWE having plans in place for “The Beast” when he does come back to television.
Fightful also explains that WWE wants Brock Lesnar to return “imminently” if things go their way, but there is no concrete word on if a return is going to come to fruition.
This is the longest time that Brock Lesnar has not appeared on WWE TV since returning in 2012. The former UFC star was last seen at WrestleMania 36 in April 2020, when he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre.
With Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre likely to end their four-month feud at Hell in a Cell tonight, some have speculated that Bobby Lashley could move onto a long-awaited feud with Brock Lesnar.
