A new report has discussed backstage details surrounding upcoming shows being pulled from the WWE Network/Peacock schedules.
At the beginning of July, the release date for the WWE Icons documentary focusing on Lex Luger was postponed. More recently, the Broken Skull Sessions episode featuring Kevin Nash, originally set to air on July 11, was removed from WWE Network listings.
As per PWInsider, these delays are the result of changes in strategy for the streaming service. In recent months, a number of WWE’s media departments have been merged.
Because of the merger, issues arose with previously set schedules. The departments have reportedly experienced growing pains, with numerous individuals in new positions.
The report stated that internally, the company is in a better position than it would appear with the delays. It is believed that these adjustments will be positive for the department in the long term.
The new date for the postponed Broken Skull Sessions episode has been announced as Sunday, July 18. It was previously noted that the Lex Luger documentary was delayed so the episode could have a stronger lead-in, so it could possibly air following an upcoming pay-per-view.
