Tamyra Mensah-Stock made Olympic history on Tuesday, when she became the first ever black woman to win a gold medal for Team USA in freestyle wrestling.
Mensah-Stock defeated Nigerian Blessing Oborududu 4-1 in the final of the women’s 68-kilogram freestyle event.

After winning her gold medal, Mensah-Stock was asked if she feels like she could ‘do WWE’. Her response, a very emphatic:

Things did not turn out too badly for the last Olympic Gold Medal winner to step into a WWE ring, so time will tell if we see Tamyra Mensah-Stock follow in the footsteps of Kurt Angle.
