IMPACT Wrestling personalities have hinted that Braun Strowman and Buddy Matthews could be heading to the promotion soon.
George Iceman, Scott D’Amore, Jade Chung and Josh Alexander were all on Chung’s Twitch channel and dropped potential easter eggs about potential new recruits.
It appeared they may have been joking around, but the hints were pretty explicit so there’s always a chance there could be something to them.
The first was Buddy Matthews (formerly Buddy Murphy), with Iceman and D’Amore seemingly hinting he was set to debut this coming Thursday.
It’s worth noting that, unless he’s gotten out of it early and not told anyone publicly, Murphy’s non-compete clause only expires on August 31, so theoretically him debuting this week, or even negotiating, shouldn’t be possible.
D’Amore then had some more fun, saying that IMPACT is currently on the road to “Braun For Glory” instead of Bound For Glory, clearly hinting at the former Braun Strowman debuting.
As noted earlier, there’s a good chance they were just having some fun, but the references made by IMPACT’s Executive Vice President were certainly rather direct.
