Rhea Ripley was forced to vacate the WWE Women’s Championship due to injury on the April 15 episode of WWE Raw.
As previously reported, the legitimate injury reportedly occurred during a very brief backstage attack by Liv Morgan on Raw last week.
Ripley’s fiance, AEW’s Buddy Matthews, has shared his message of support and a promise to the fans on Twitter, posting:
“Thank you Mami! I promise I’ll make sure she comes back BIGGER, BETTER, than ever! #thankyoumami”
A number of replies would ask if Matthews would be joining her when she returns.
Footage from the moment Ripley addressed Liv Morgan’s actions on WWE Raw can be seen below this news story.
With Ripley’s arm in a sling, it appeared that only the presence of Adam Pearce and WWE security was able to keep the pair apart.
WrestleTalk wishes Rhea Ripley well in her recovery from injury.
