Sami Zayn will not be a free agent in the Fall of 2021 as had been previously reported.
Fightful Select (subscription required) has reported a minor update on Zayn’s contract situation. TVA Sports had previously reported that Zayn’s deal had two and a half years left in April 2019.
This would have put the end of the contract in the Fall of 2021. However, Fightful Select has been told by WWE sources that the deal is not up in the Fall. They are working to find out more information on the deal.
Interest in WWE contracts continues to be very high with the news of Kevin Owens’ deal being up soon. There has also been a report that Owens will be headed to AEW when his deal expires.
Owens and Zayn have been linked throughout their entire careers and once news broke of Owens’ potential departure, many fans began wondering about the future of Sami Zayn.
We will continue to provide more information on the contract situation of Sami Zayn as more details become available.
