All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Malakai Black has spoken about the “makeup” that he wears on his face around one of his eyes.
Black has worn the makeup since his AEW debut, although it has become more pronounced than it was at first.
When asked about it on AEW Unrestricted, he didn’t seem like he wanted to say too much, but he did offer a little bit of insight, saying:
“Don’t really know if I wanna touch on that. The one thing I can tell you is that, for the character, it’s not makeup. Think of it as a disease. Think of it as a symbolic way for a manifestation to overtake a host. That’s about as much as I’ll say about that.”

Well, that clears that up.
Malakai Black also spoke in detail about his entrance, as well as telling a story of how his surprise debut was nearly ruined.
