Bryan Danielson made his AEW debut back at the All Out pay-per-view in September, and since then has wrestled every week on TNT since his debut match with Kenny Omega at the AEW Grand Slam event.
Danielson said that he joined AEW as a ‘new challenge’, and was asked during the Full Gear post-show media scrum whether he had any trouble readjusting to his new home in AEW.
Danielson replied:
“So, I don’t know. You say having trouble adjusting, I don’t feel — I feel such a sense of joy when I’m wrestling but when I say that, I’ve kind of felt that since I came back from retirement. So even within the limitations, and there’s always limitations when it comes to wrestling on TV. You have certain times, all that kind of stuff. You’re never going to be able to go out and do whatever you want. It just doesn’t work like that, right? But I feel like there is a certain amount of joy in just being able to do this thing that I love and there’s an extra amount of joy given the freedom we have here in AEW to do kind of what I want within what are always going to be limitations,”
Bryan Danielson became the number one contender to the AEW World Championship back on November 13 at Full Gear when he defeated Miro in the final of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament.
Bryan is set to go one-on-one with the Dark Order’s Evil Uno on tomorrow (November 17) night’s AEW Dynamite.
