Sonny Kiss has revealed a very interesting role he played at the AEW All Out pay-per-view this past September.
Kiss hasn’t had a match on AEW TV (excluding Dark/Elevation) since October 21, 2020, but was still involved at the pay-per-view in a way you may not have realised.
Speaking on the Shining Wizards podcast, Kiss revealed he was a dancer for the Lucha Brothers’ spectacular entrance, and it was him that choreographed the routine.
Kiss said:
“I was one of the dancers and I choreographed the routine. That was me. That was me behind that mask and all that stuff.
“And so, I asked Cody (Rhodes) that same night, ‘Should I be doing this? Like, is this okay? Does this make me look bad?’, and he was like, ‘No! Not at all!’.”
Kiss also spoke about seeking advice from Rhodes about his uncertainty regarding his role in AEW since he hasn’t been used prominently in quite some time. He said he asked Rhodes:
“‘Should I be doing more or something? Is there something that is not clicking? How much more should I (do) to try to prove myself?’. And he’s just like, ‘Yeah. Always do as much as you can to just keep yourself seen and keep yourself known’.”
Kiss’ most recent match was a loss to Joey Janela in a no DQ match that aired on AEW Dark last night.
