Comcast has shared more figures relating to NBCUniversal Peacock in the recent 2021 fourth quarter earnings report.
Per the report, the Peacock streaming service hit 24.5 million active accounts in the US in 2021. The service ultimately lost the company money in 2021, with Comcast reporting an adjusted loss of $1.7 billion related to Peacock, on $778 million in revenue. Peacock had lost the company $559 million in the last quarter of 2021 alone. For comparison, Peacock had an adjusted loss of $663 million in 2020, on $118 million in revenue.
Peacock has been the home of the WWE Network in the US since March 2021. The multi-year agreement between WWE and NBCU had been announced in January of that year. Prior to the move, the WWE Network had 1.1 million US subscribers.
Matt Belloni previously reported that of these 1.1 million subscribers, 1 million successfully migrated to Peacock following the change.
