When AJ Styles went down to NXT 2.0 against Grayson Waller earlier this year, it marked the beginning of what became a trend of WWE main roster stars heading down to NXT 2.0 to work a program, whether it be Styles against Waller, Dolph Ziggler’s encounter with Bron Breakker, the Mysterios, Natalya, the Viking Raiders, or Apollo Crews – the layyer of which actually moved permanently to the brand.
At NXT Worlds Collide, we also saw Nikki ASH, Doudrop and Ricochet in action.
There are several main roster stars who could make the journey to the Performance Center in the next few months, to help groom the next generation of WWE stars.
I will be putting some soft limits on this list. I will be listing stars who, while some may have appeared in NXT before, have been away for long enough where them appearing on the show again will feel important, or stars who just have never been on NXT before. I will also not be listing WWE’s absolute top top names, as they realistically could go and work with any NXT guy and make it work, so no Roman Reigns, no Brock Lesnar, Edge, Randy Orton, etc.
With that in mind, here are 10 more WWE main roster stars who could head down to NXT, and who they should work with.
