More details have emerged on WWE’s plans for Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 38.
Austin Theory recently revealed that he’s set to face Pat McAfee at the April 2-3 event, following reports that Vince McMahon vs Pat McAfee was internally listed for this year’s Show of Shows.
In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that McMahon is still set to be heavily featured in this bout, noting:
“Vince is going to be involved unless he’s changed his mind, but Vince is going to be involved in some way, but I don’t think it’s going to be a handicap match. I think it’s going to be Vince overseeing the match or in the corner, but the heat of the match is going to be Vince and Pat McAfee for whatever reason.
“That angle, I don’t know which week they’re going to shoot it. We’re running out of weeks. Next week is gonna be the big week where they really try to lock everything in. There’s kind of a deadline now.”
