Former ROH World Champion Homicide addressed the current success of Eddie Kingston in AEW and what he believes is in store for his future.
Homicide has worked for various promotions over the past two decades from Ring of Honor to the National Wrestling Alliance. He has also helped several New York-based talent, including AEW star Eddie Kingston.
Speaking with Battleground Podcast, the NWA star discussed which wrestlers he would like to face as well as Kingston’s current run with All Elite Wrestling.
In regards to Eddie Kingston’s success in AEW, Homicide said:
“I’m so happy for him. He’s getting his flowers and I’m very, very confident that he’s going to be the next AEW Champion of the world.”
“I’m not talking about the secondary belt or the tag belt. I’m talking about he’s going to be the number one man of that company. I’m really happy for this dude. He deserves it.”
Homicide made an appearance for All Elite Wrestling last September at their AEW Rampage: Grand Slam event at New York City’s Arthur Ashe Stadium to help Kingston and Jon Moxley in their Lights Out Match against Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer.
The former ROH star currently works for the National Wrestling Alliance where he is the current NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion.
As previously noted, NWA will hold their next pay-per-view event on June 11 named after current Worlds Heavyweight Champion Matt Cardona called “Alwayz Ready”.
