An official IMPACT Wrestling championship changed hands over the weekend at the Wrestling Revolver Vegas Vacation event.
During the show, Matt Cardona defended his Digital Media Championship against Rich Swann. After almost 12 minutes of action, Swann pinned Cardona to win the gold.
Following the bout, Cardona fled with the title belt, claiming to still be champion.
Swann is the third wrestler to hold the gold since its introduction in October 2021, after inaugural champion Jordynne Grace, and second titleholder Cardona.
This is also Swann’s first IMPACT title win since losing the IMPACT World Championship to AEW’s Kenny Omega at Rebellion 2021.
Cardona has since revealed that he has suffered an arm injury during this weekend’s GCW Downward Spiral event. You can read more about the injury right here.
