With WWE set to host their first stadium show in the United Kingdom in 30 years at next month’s Clash at the Castle event in Cardiff, many have speculated that Drew McIntyre could be finally set to unseat Roman Reigns on the show.
McIntyre earned the title shot in a victory over Sheamus on SmackDown last month, and teamed with Madcap Moss against the Usos on last night’s episode of SmackDown.
However, McIntyre has been pulled from this weekend’s WWE Live Events, and PWInsider has confirmed that McIntyre has been pulled due to an ongoing back injury he’s working through.
Fightful provided an update on the report, noting that surgery will not be required and McIntyre is still set to challenge Roman Reigns at the Clash at the Castle show next month in Cardiff.
Fightful can confirm that Drew McIntyre has been working through a rough back injury that led to him being pulled from the road this weekend.
