Ever since Triple H took over as the head of WWE creative, fans have praised the shows for showing improvement over the shows ran by the previous WWE regime.
The main event of last night’s WWE Raw show saw Triple H go against the grain for the first time, as many fans had expected IYO SKY and Dakota Kai to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championship in the main event.
Instead, it was the duo of Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez that won the match and the titles, a decision that was met with a lot of backlash from fans online.
Tony Khan took to Twitter shortly after the show was over, seemingly reacting to the criticism that fans had towards the decision, sharing a gif reading ‘this is the turn of luck I’ve been waiting for’.
WWE has had a lot of momentum ever since Triple H took over creative, with WWE ratings increasing while AEW’s ratings have been falling, so Tony will be hoping to catch a break here.
The unpopular decision wasn’t just met with controversy online, as there was also controversy surrounding the finish, questioning the legality of Raquel and Aliyah’s victory.
