Former Ring of Honor and IMPACT star Davey Richards has reacted to Chris Jericho’s Ring of Honor World Championship call-out.
Jericho defeated Claudio Castagnoli for the title at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam on September 22, beginning his first ever reign with the gold.
On Wednesday’s (September 28) edition of AEW Dynamite, Jericho promised to ‘desecrate’ Ring of Honor as its new champion, saying that he would defeat every former ROH champion, commentator, referee, and ring announcer.
Former ROH World Champion Davey Richards took to Twitter to respond to Jericho’s remarks. Retweeting a post from a user who proposed the matchup, Richards said:
“What do ya say @ringofhonor and @IAmJericho? Let’s crack open that Forbidden door? #richardsvsjericho”
Richards is currently signed to Major League Wrestling (MLW).
Richards is not the only notable person who is intrigued by the match up, as FTR’s Dax Harwood replied to the tweet by tagging AEW owner Tony Khan as saying “LFG.”
Jericho will face former Ring of Honor World Champion Bryan Danielson for the title on the October 12 edition of Dynamite.
