With only one segment down and already numerous main roster stars have appeared on tonight’s October 4 edition of NXT.
With the 2.0 dropped in favor of a slightly updated set and white and gold logo, NXT rolls on with several main roster appearances.
While the absence of Vic Joseph was explained as being “stuck in immigration” after his wedding to fellow WWE star, McKenzie Mitchell over the weekend in Italy, a familiar face filled in.
Joining Wade Barrett on commentary, Byron Saxton in addition to NXT Level Up host, Sudu Shah.
While the first segment featured Pretty Deadly declaring that they have already beaten all of the tag teams in NXT, they were joined by some other main roster interlopers.
Interrupting their segment, the Brawling Brutes (Butch and Ridge Holland) came knocking for a Tuesday Night Fight Night!
While a brawl ended the segment, as the crowd went wild chanting “Bruiserweight” in honor of someone they used to know, a match was on the way.
With the show closing out with the big match, Pretty Deadly emerged victorious to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship despite a competitive match with the blue brand tag team.
However, the Brawling Brutes weren’t alone as by the end of the episode, Imperium attacked ahead of their battle at Saturday’s premium live event, Extreme Rules.
