A recently returned WWE star describes the feeling of the crowd reception at Extreme Rules after having been previously released.
Speaking on The Ringer podcast, Karrion Kross detailed some feelings from his previous go at the main roster prior to being released by WWE.
Particularly, Kross described the experience of arriving on the main roster in his now infamous mask which fans quickly rejected.
Kross saying:
“The first time I came out with the mask there were people laughing in the audience, they were laughing. I always remembered getting into this business thinking to myself, ‘when this is all said and done, I want to leave this place a better place than it was before I came in, you want to make people around you better, you want the product to get better’ … for me, I am always chasing the perfect match, that’s like my wrestling philosophy, I am chasing the perfect story.”
Kross went on to describe what is different between that run and now, particularly relating to his exceptional fan reception at WWE’s latest premium live event, Extreme Rules.
Karrion Kross said:
“The difference between then and now, tonight I walked out and they were singing our theme music, the entire audience was singing our theme music, that’s a moment we wanted to get to before the pandemic and I got that tonight.”
Karrion Kross competed in a brutal strap match against Drew McIntyre at the aforementioned WWE premium live event, Extreme Rules.
In the end after a series of vicious blows delivered by each, it was ultimately pepper spray inflicted upon McIntyre by Scarlett that led to Kross picking up the victory.
