MJF made his return to AEW television at the climax of the AEW All Out pay-per-view, where he revealed himself as the mysterious ‘devil’ who won the Casino Ladder match at the start of the show.
The ending saw Stokely Hathaway and the Firm lay out the other members of the match, before Stokely pulled down the chip and handed it to the man who would soon be revealed as Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
MJF’s victory earned him a chip that he can cash in for an AEW World Championship match whenever he wants. He teased a cash in during the AEW Dynamite Grand Slam main event, when Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson fought for the vacant title, but ultimately remained in the stands.
On tonight’s Dynamite, Moxley is set to defend the title against Hangman Adam Page, and MJF took to Twitter again today to tease a potential cash in of his poker chip, sharing a gif of a man playing with some poker chips.
Also set for tonight’s show is a ROH World Championship match between Chris Jericho and Dalton Castle, and Toni Storm vs Hikaru Shida for the interim AEW Women’s World Championship
