How Adam Cole Managed To Keep AEW Return A Secret

New details have emerged regarding how AEW star Adam Cole was able to keep his return on yesterday’s (January 11) AEW Dynamite.

Cole suffered a serious concussion in June during a four way match with Hangman Adam Page, Switchblade Jay White and Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at the cross-promotional AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door event.

He had since been absent from the company for several months.

However, Cole made an unexpected return to the company during last night’s edition of the show, delivering a promo which announced he would soon be returning to in-ring competition.

Now it appears that Cole went to great lengths to keep his return secret, as a tweet has emerged which shows the former NXT Champion hiding in the back of a car with a hoodie pulled over his face, and the caption:

It is not yet known who Cole will face in his first match back with the company, or when it will occur.
