A top AEW star has been cleared to return on the February 1 edition of AEW Dynamite.
On the January 11 episode of AEW Dynamite, The Elite’s Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks defeated Death Triangle in an Escalera de la Muerte Match 7 to win the best of seven series and the AEW World Trios Championships.
Since then, Omega hasn’t appeared on AEW television due to a visa issue.
Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reports that Kenny Omega has been cleared to return and will be at AEW Dynamite tomorrow in Dayton, Ohio.
It is not clear what role “The Cleaner” may or may not have on tomorrow’s episode. He hasn’t been advertised to appear on the show as of yet.
Omega’s clearance should possibly set up a planned The Elite AEW Trios title defense against Top Flight and AR Fox, which Dante and Darius Martin made a challenge on the January 27 edition of Rampage.
Top Flight defeated The Young Bucks on the January 18 edition of AEW Dynamite to further set things in motion for the planned title bout.
