Who won the first triple threat match of the WWE Heavyweight Championship Tournament on the May 8 edition of WWE Raw.
Find out who won the first round of the WWE Heavyweight Championship Tournament on tonight’s WWE Raw after a pair of triple threat matches.
In the first triple threat match, it was Seth Rollins is set for action against Shinsuke Nakamura and Damian Priest.
While the situation seemed dire for Priest as he was almost about to tap out to Shinsuke Nakamura, instead Seth Rollins took to the skies.
Interrupting the submission move with a giant leap from the ropes onto the duo and then a subsequent Pedigree for good measure, Seth Rollins picked up the win.
In the second triple threat of the night is set to see The Miz facing off against Finn Balor and Cody Rhodes.
After a massive interruption which took out Cody Rhodes (you read more about that by clicking this link) it was Finn Balor who captured the pinfall victory over The Miz.
The main event for the show will see Seth Rollins face off against Finn Balor to determine who will go to Night of Champions for a chance at the new title.
