The upcoming triple threat matches for the first round of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament on SmackDown have been revealed.
While tonight’s episode of WWE Raw (May 8) sees the Raw side of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament kick off, the bracket for SmackDown’s side of things was also revealed.
While earlier in the day WWE revealed that the Raw tournament would begin with two big triple threat matches, it seems that SmackDown will have the same format.
With the participants of each of those triple threat matches being revealed on bracket shown on screen on WWE Raw.
One match will feature Austin Theory vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Sheamus while the other is set to see a huge clash of two Hall of Famers.
The second triple threat match is set to feature Edge vs. AJ Styles vs. Rey Mysterio to determine who will move on to face the winner of the other SmackDown match.
On tonight’s WWE Raw, the first round of the WWE Raw side of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament bracket.
In the first triple threat of round one, Seth Rollins is set for action against Shinsuke Nakamura and Damian Priest.
While the second triple threat of the night is set to see The Miz facing off against Finn Balor and Cody Rhodes.
The winners will then face each other in the main event of tonight’s WWE Raw.
