The latest major moment in the ongoing Bloodline saga took place at WWE Money In The Bank this past weekend, when the ‘Bloodline Civil War’ took place in London.
The finish saw Jey Uso score the pin over Roman Reigns, marking the first time the Tribal Chief had been pinned in WWE, and the first time Reigns had been pinned since December 2019.
The decision to pin Reigns was obviously a difficult one to make, and we now know that the decision had many in the company against it.
Per WrestleVotes, the decision to pin Reigns was met with a feeling of ‘trepidation’ from a ‘high ranking’ creative member when coming up with the finish of the match.
They tweeted:
There was a feeling of trepidation from a high ranking creative member in crafting the finish for this past Saturdays Bloodline match. A strong argument that Reigns shouldn’t be pinned prior to losing the title was present throughout the process.
Jey scoring the pinfall over Reigns is likely to set up an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match with Reigns at SummerSlam in Detroit.
