While MMA to WWE transitions are far from uncommon, with Matt Riddle, Ronda Rousey and Ken Shamrock three notable examples, it’s not always guaranteed to work out for the best.
One such transitionary is NXT’s Lola Vice, who competed under her real name of Valerie Loureda in MMA promotion Bellator between 2019 and 2021 before moving across to pro-wrestling the year after, joining WWE’s NXT brand.
Although Vice is still young in her new profession, it seems as if she isn’t regretting her decision one bit according to a recent Twitter post.
After working the NXT Level Up taping last night, Vice tweeted:
I love wrestling man I’m so glad I made this decision.
Thank you guys, I HEAR you out there
While competing in Bellator, Loureda held an impressive 4-1 record, however, thus far she has been fairly limited in her TV appearances in WWE, primarily competing on NXT live events and on NXT Level Up.
Despite this, it seems she’s enjoying the journey with WWE, and the company perhaps has its next MMA to WWE success story in the near future.
This week’s NXT (July 11) saw the invasion of the program from WWE Raw’s Judgment Day, check out this link here to find out what the group did on the gold brand.
