By the end of tonight’s AEW Rampage, a new title match for AEW Dynamite’s 200th episode had been announced.
In the Rampage main event, Hikaru Shida picked up a win over Nyla Rose.
After the match, Shida seemed to ‘call her shot’, gesturing a championship belt which seemed to bring out the Outcasts.
Appearing on-screen only briefly, AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm was flanked by Ruby Soho and Saraya.
Saraya could be overheard saying, “Welcome back Shida!” ahead of a call on commentary regarding a future title shot for the former champ.
On this week’s upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite (August 2) dubbed ‘Dynamite 200’ as it is the 200th episode of Dynamite, Toni Storm will indeed defend her AEW Women’s Championship against Hikaru Shida.
Hikaru Shida is notably an ‘AEW Original’, having been a former AEW Women’s Champion in 2021 before losing the title to Britt Baker.
Also newly announced for Dynamite 200 is Aussie Open defending the ROH World Tag Team Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo and Komander.
